Terms & Conditions

Booking and payment either with Coffs Harbour Fishing Charters or through an agent you confirm and acknowledge acceptance of our terms and conditions.  Also, confirmation on behalf of all other persons on your booking.  Please check the booking prior to your charter as these terms and conditions may be subject to change at any time.

  • Coffs Harbour Fishing Charters will not be held liable for any indirect costs incurred by booking a fishing charter with us. In the event that the fishing charter is cancelled, Coffs Harbour Fishing Charters will not be held liable for any travel costs, accommodation or any other costs the customer may incur.
  • In the event that Coffs Harbour Fishing Charters is unable to provide the fishing charter or service due to reasons including but not limited to: illness, accident, injury or mechanical breakdown we reserve the right to cancel the Charter, we will endeavour to reschedule your charter or give you a full refund.
  • All mixed charters are subject to minimum and maximum passenger numbers, we reserve the right to cancel any charter that does not have the required minimum numbers. If your Charter has been cancelled because we don’t have the required numbers, we will endeavour to reschedule your charter or give you a full refund.
  • Coffs Harbour Fishing Charters will endeavour and try our hardest to catch fish, passengers must understand and acknowledge that lack of fish caught on the charter is not a reason for any form of discount or refund.
  • Any fishing rods, reels or equipment that is lost overboard or damaged in anyway due to customer negligence must be paid for by the customer at replacement cost.
  • Passengers may be filmed, photographed during the Charter for our own use including advertising, website and social media. We reserve the right to use the images for our own purposes without notification, compensation or payment.
  • You must be on time for your charter. If you are running late for any reason you must call.  If we do not hear from you, we will leave the dock at the scheduled time and you will forfeit your booking and payment or voucher.
  • GPS navigational tools including phone apps must not be used on the boat, if we suspect you are using such devices,we will ask you to store your phone in the forward cabin to be returned to you at the end of the charter.
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult, the child is the adult’s responsibility for the charter. We love taking kids out fishing but we are not baby sitters.
  • All Charters are subject to suitable weather conditions, the decision to cancel a charter will be made by Coffs Harbour Fishing Charters or the Skipper on the day. Marine weather and conditions can change quickly and sometimes contrary to the forecast, we will endeavour to inform you as early as possible of any cancellations. Please ensure your phone is on. If your charter is cancelled due to the conditions, we will try to reschedule your charter or give you a full refund.

Bookings and Cancellations

  • Cancellations for mixed charters. Notification must be given 3 days (72 hours) before the scheduled charter to obtain a refund. If sufficient notice is not given no amount will be refunded.
  • Cancellations for group and whole boat bookings require 14 days notice before the scheduled charter for a refund to be paid.If sufficient notice is not given no amount will be refunded.
  • Gift Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash or refunded in part or full. Gift Vouchers are transferable to other individuals provided Coffs Harbour Fishing Charters are informed and agrees to such transfer by the person named on the voucher.


Customer Behaviour

  • All customers should behave in a safe and respectful manner to all our staff and other customers.
  • All customers will be liable for loss and damage of our equipment and boats due to negligence or unruly behaviour.
  • The skipper reserves to cancel your trip and payment will be forfeited with no refund if unruly or unsafe behaviour is displayed before or during your charter.
  • No Illegal drugs are to brought on board our boats.
  • BYO alcohol is allowed on board our boats, any alcohol brought onto the boat must be in cans. No glass is allowed. We stress the importance of consumption in moderation and we reserve the right to ban any person from drinking alcohol that is becoming unruly, unsafe or disrespectful.
  • If any person arrives for the charter under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we have the right to refuse that person from the charter. Any abusive or inappropriate behaviour on board will give us the right to remove that passenger from the charter. The NSW Water Police will be contacted if we require assistance.
